6 Not-Boring Ways to Make Money Online...and When You're Home Alone

I am guessing that a large number of the people new to making money online probably struggle with either 1 of 2 things:

They either A) feel inhibited to pursue working from home because of all the scams or they B) don't know of the right opportunities.

Some people might like the idea of taking surveys for money, but others might not. Some people might be okay with freelancing or selling gigs on sites like Fiverr (where anything goes),

Drop Links

You know how when you visit a major site like Forbes and you see a preview ad pop-up with the option to skip the ad after 5 or so seconds. Well there are middlemen sites that connect with advertisers who want to leverage the traffic you're driving the sites you share on social media. When you shorten links and share them, visitors who click will be shown a brief advertisement. The impressions the advertiser paid for are share with you. Viola! That's the backstory of why and how you can get paid by sharing links online.

Adf.ly is a popular link shortening site. You can also use Refban as an alternative. If you ever want to refer someone to a link, but make it look less sketchy, use goo.gl for it.

Chat on the Phone

There are sites out there where you can make money by chatting and flirting with people. Of course, you don't have to be so naughty. Plenty of companies hire chat customer service agents...but where's the fun in that?

And if you're on the other end looking for a fine gal to chat with, check out Niteflirt.

Do Micro Tasks

I will forever swear by Microworkers. They have 400-500 jobs in their job queue daily, and there are multiple tasks available within those jobs. One job, for instance, may have 100 or more tasks available. Many people need simple things like backlinks, site reviews, keyword research and more. They'll pay a bunch of people a few bucks to do it. You could easily make $10-$20 an hour if you put steady work in. I did it!

Post onto Social Media

IZEA is the corporate head of the late Sponsored Tweets (R.I.P. as of 7/14). They syndicated all the elements of Sponsored Posts into one place. Connect your Facebook, Twitter, YouTube, Google Plus, Instagram, LinkedIn, Tumblr, and your blog in order to bid on offers from advertisers who want to reach their target audience through your followers.

Referral Banners

View Websites and Advertisements

Wordlinx will pay you a fraction of a few cents to view ads. It works similarly to EasyHits4U, but the difference is that you can get free targeted traffic from EasyHits4U whereas you can only make a few bucks on Wordlinx for your eyeball space.

Write What You Want

There's Squidoo, Triond, Bukisa, Infobarrel, Hubpages, Wikinut, and plenty more sites that say you can earn residual payments from your writing. Sure, I'm sure that people make their killing over there. None of those ever worked for me. I always liked Bubblews. You get $0.01 per impression, comment, like/dislike, and social media share for any of your articles. Not to mention that you also get paid $0.20 for every person you sign up who cashes out their first time. It's so much easier and straightforward than setting up your own Google AdSense account, connecting it, waiting for approval, blah blah blah. They pay via PayPal too. Minimum cash out threshold is $50.00.

Give those a shot, why don'tcha? Tell me what you think. If you have any questions or comments about using any of these sites, drop me a line in the comments.
